REV EDMUND CHAN is a reflective practitioner with the exceptional gift of making complex things simple. A widely influential Singaporean pastor, his insightful biblical teachings have made him one of Asia’s most sought-after expository preachers, often with advanced engagements three to five years ahead.

In 2008, the Lord led Edmund Chan to launch the Global Alliance of Intentional Disciple-making Churches with a vision of empowering 20,000 intentional disciple-making churches in 50 global cities, and with the aim of equipping 100,000 disciple-makers to impact one million reproducing disciples by 2020. To facilitate this vision, Edmund Chan has given leadership initiative to hold a Global Discipleship Congress for 10,000 disciple-making leaders from 28–30 March 2013 in Manila, Philippines.

The senior pastor of Covenant Evangelical Free Church, Edmund Chan is also a mentor to key Christian leaders and CEOs both in Singapore and internationally. He also serves on the advisory councils of several Christian organisations.

Edmund Chan read for his Master’s degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, USA in less than nine months and graduated summa cum laude. Edmund Chan has authored several books, the most popular of which are Growing Deep in God (2002), Mentoring Paradigms (2008), Growing Deep In Faith (2010) and Cultivating Your Inner Life: Understanding Spiritual Formation In Discipleship Today (2011).

Edmund is married to Ann, who is also a gifted pastor-teacher, and they have two teenage daughters, Amanda and Belicia. Together, they enjoy watching and discussing movies and popular TV series such as KungFu Panda, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Monk.
