IDMC: Fulfilling the Great Commission Agenda

Intentional Disciplemaking Church (IDMC) is anchored on the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:16–20). In this God-given primary agenda for the world, how can we spur each other on in the Body of Christ? We need to return to the Word of God as the compass of our discipleship mandate and disciplemaking mission. At IDMC Conference, we glean important disciplemaking principles, and deepen our discipleship journeys together, so that we remain mission-true. It is our prayer that through this conference, we see the multiplication of Intentional Disciplemaking Churches to fulfill the Great Commission.

How It All Began

IDMC Conference’s forerunner was an annual disciplemaking church seminar that run from 1995 to 2000. The Lord led Rev Edmund Chan, Covenant EFC’s Leadership Mentor, to conduct this seminar after his return from sabbatical at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (USA). In 2001, the Lord led him to do a full three-day conference that crystallises the essential teachings of the previous years’ seminars, along with new insights on developing a disciplemaking church. Since then, IDMC Conference became an annual gathering of various churches from different denominations across the world.

IDMC Refreshed

This year on its 29th run since 1995, IDMC Conference is finally back on-site while still accessible online. After three years of livestream conference due to Covid-19 restrictions, IDMC 2023 is coming back with a refreshed dynamic programme to encounter God and His heart for disciplemaking.
